In addition to his ministry at Capstone, Dan also serves as ordained pastor in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Kenya under the Arch-Bishop of the ELCK: Rt. Rev. Bishop Joseph Omollo Ochola. Dan leads the English service when he is in country. In this capacity, he and Patty and have been able to expand their influence to the benefit of Capstone Ministries and as a blessing to the people of the ELCK also.
During the post-election violence of early 2008, Dan and Patty were one of the few ex-patriots that remained in Kisumu and were well placed to offer encouragement and assistance to many people in need.
Dan also frequently is asked to preach in some of the surrounding congregations in the Lake Diocese, teach at conferences and gatherings.
